Social Responsibility

Wave Industries Private Limited is a Responsible Corporate Citizen and understands its role in transforming and bettering the lives of the less-privileged and marginalized communities. Wave Industries believes that Corporates have the power and capacity to bring a positive difference in the lives of their communities. The Company continuously aims and strives to help the people improve their lives through Education, Healthcare and other initiatives.

The Company’s CSR Policy, approved by its Board of Directors and the CSR Committee provides the strategic guidance in undertaking the CSR activities. While the Company undertakes several direct CSR Initiatives too however a substantial part of its CSR activities is channelized through the Ponty Chadha Foundation (PCF). PCF is the Social Responsibility arm of Wave Industries established by Mrs. Jatinder Kaur Chadha in the memory of her late husband and the erstwhile chairman of Wave Industries – Shri Gurdeep Singh Chadha. Most of the CSR beneficiaries of the Company are either the communities residing in proximity of its manufacturing units or the differently abled children around Delhi / NCR. Multiple initiatives are aimed at the protection of the Environment too.

Installation of Oxygen Plants - As an extension to Company’s resolve of supporting nation’s fight against Covid, Wave Industries facilitated and provided support in the installation of Medical Grade Oxygen Plants at the Government Hospitals at two locations:

CHC Joya in district Amroha
CHC in district Gonda

Awareness drives - The Company drove awareness in the villages nearby the manufacturing plants by painting awareness slogans on the walls and creating the flex boards.
Oxygen Banks - Company established Oxygen Cylinder banks to ensure availability of Oxygen to villagers as well as nearby hospitals, by refiling empty cylinders. Oxygen cylinders were provided to Amroha district hospital and Bijnor district hospital.
Distribution of Covid care kits – Covid care kits were supplied to CHCs at Dhanaura and Bachroun, as they are remotely located with minimal access to any other kind of support provided from the Government. Distribution of Masks and Sanitisers to the villagers was facilitated by the Company. Additionally, Company provided medical equipment to the Covid inflicted villagers on the need basis to monitor their health within their homes.
Drinking water stalls - Drinking water stalls were set up at facilities such as family health center, district hospital, cremation center, railway station and bus stand during the entire Covid period.
Distribution of Food Packets and Water Bottles - Food packets and water bottles were distributed in buses and on roads to the labors migrating to their home towns during the lockdown period

Rehabilitation And Education Of Differently-Abled Children

Wave Industries is proud to be a part of one of the most remarkable initiatives of Ponty Chadha Foundation wherein differently-abled students are receiving special education and rehabilitation services to help them march forward in their lives and make them self-sustained. The Initiative is brought to life through Mata Bhagwanti Chadha Niketan (MBCN) School, that has been working relentlessly for the development of children with intellectual impairment, cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorder and multiple other disorders.

In addition to this, we also extend help in exploring employment opportunities for the Physically disabled persons with limited means of survival and residing in remote rural areas with minimal opportunity of decent employment.

CSR Initiatives For Environment Protection

Our planet and all the inhabitants of it are already reeling under the climate crisis and related risks. As a Responsible Corporate Citizen, the Company takes spirited participation and engagement in protection of the natural resources and maintaining its longevity through several CSR initiatives.

Green Drives : Company is actively engaged in the development of the green belt around the Manufacturing Plants along with active engagement in the Miyawaki Plantation drive.

Restoration of a dried River : With the participation and contribution from the Wave Industries, a 40 km long local river named ‘Sote’ which was once dead and dry, has been excavated and recovered successfully.

Restoration of other water bodies : District Dhanaura was identified as a ‘Dark Zone’ as it was a water stressed area. With efforts from the Government coupled with the corporate initiatives, massive restoration efforts were undertaken to restore the dried-up water bodies and replenish the ground water. This has resulted into Dhanaura’s progress from Dark Zone to Yellow Zone. The goal of district authorities and corporates is to make it a Green Zone and a water positive area. In addition, the focus is also on maintaining cleanliness and beautification of the water bodies.

CSR Initiatives For Local Communities

Availability of drinking water : To ensure availability of clean and safe drinking water to the people of surrounding villages, Wave Industries facilitated the installation of several handpumps in and around the village.

Disease Prevention drives : Spray and Sanitation drives are conducted in adjoining villages every quarter for prevention against mosquito borne diseases such as Dengue, Chikanguniya, Malaria, etc.

Promotion of Sports and encouragement to youth : Company’s Senior Vice President for Admin department also serves as the Chairman of District Olympic Association of Amroha and is actively engaged in promoting sports in the local youth. The Company supports the talented young & underprivileged sportsmen and sportswomen by providing monetary help and other required assistance to develop their abilities. The Company provides free boarding and lodging facilities to the players native to the Amroha District who are selected to play the Nationals. Similarly, Company will provide Airfare to the native players who will be selected to play Internationals. The Company strives to develop sports and provide equal opportunity to groom the young sportsmen and women in the nearby rural areas.

The Company actively engages itself in the several social welfare initiatives from all dimensions, even though they are not covered under the Company’s CSR Policy, such as:

Company provides monetary support to arrange the Fodder (Mustard Cake) required in the Govt. Gaushalas.
The Company provides free Apprenticeship for 1 year along with the stipend, boarding and lodging facilities to the students from ITI, poly-technic, diploma courses and college to upskill them and make them future-ready.
During the Covid period, family members of the deceased employees were not only supported financially but the Company also ensured that the education of upto two children of the deceased employee is also well-supported.
